Choose an avatar or design your own
Last updated July 2026 · ~4 min read
Your teammate’s on-camera presence is a per-deployment choice you own. Pick one of twelve original characters or design a custom avatar. Whatever you choose, the change is versioned and written to the audit log.
Choose an original character
Twelve original characters ship ready to use, each with a name, a description, a curated portrait, and a motion preview. One is pre-selected as the default, and you can change it before you finish. Selecting a character sets the teammate’s headshot to that character’s portrait automatically. The animated avatar is a simple on/off toggle per teammate.
Design a custom avatar
You can also design a custom avatar — animated and expressive on camera, not a static headshot. It moves and reacts during the meeting rather than sitting still. One rule is firm: a custom avatar cannot be built to impersonate a real, identifiable person.
The headshot for video-off
When video is off, the teammate presents through a static headshot instead of an animated avatar. You set that image from the character’s curated portrait, your own upload, or an image generated from a text prompt. Uploaded and generated images pass a content check before they are saved; if one is rejected, you see the reason in plain language and nothing is stored.
The AI disclosure banner is on by default and stays visible for every avatar and every headshot. No configuration removes it.
