A meeting-presence layer is the software that gives an AI agent a seat in a meeting — a name, a face, a voice, disclosure, and memory — without being the agent itself. It’s the delivery layer for the intelligence you already run.
Presence, not intelligence
Most meeting AI bundles the model and the meeting together: the tool brings its own assistant and its own answers. A meeting-presence layer splits those apart. You bring the intelligence — a Copilot Studio or Foundry agent you already built. The presence layer brings everything needed to put that agent in the room: a disclosed identity, a synthesized voice, an avatar, the join into the meeting, and a structured memory of what happened.
The value of the split is ownership and reuse. Your agent, your prompts, your data and IP stay yours; the presence layer is a thin, governed layer on top. Notetakers, in-app recaps, and personal avatars are not presence layers — they either run their own AI or impersonate a person. A presence layer is the seat at the table for the agent you control.
